Vacuum form machine operator-technician needed
Albany New York area

Accessible Bath Technologies, LLC is looking for an experienced vacuum form machine operator-technician to join our team. The vacuum form machine operator is responsible for the work shift production set up and operation of vacuum forming machinery designated to shape and form large acrylic plastic primary and sub-primary components using molds.
Duties include:
- Ensure safe and quality products through assessment, inspections and verifications of processes at all stages of vacuum forming production.
- Adjust machine components to regulate speed, pressure and temperatures and amounts, dimensions and flow of materials or ingredients.
- Perform quality checks according to established procedures and ensure all standards are being met. Examine measure and weigh materials or product to verify conformance to standards using measuring devices such as templates, micrometers or scales.
- Monitor machine operations and observe established heat distribution and zones using a combination of machinery dedicated LCD touch screen data display and gauges in order to verify within tolerance operations and detect malfunctions.
- Verify that parameters set on the machines are correct for each specific component pull and material being formed, adjusting when corrections during production runs are necessary.
- Adjust mechanical controls and LCD touch screen controller display to regulate and operate machine functions.
- Review work orders, specifications and instructions to determine materials, ingredients, procedures, components, settings and adjustments.
- Select and install machine components such as dies, molds and cutters, according to specifications using hand tools and measuring devices. Possess ability to load acrylic sheets onto thermoforming machines and unload sheets from molds after vacuum formed.
- Electronically record and maintain data related to downtime, including amount of time, reason for downtime and actions to correct problems.
- Keep all waste and scrap levels within company guidelines.
- Record and maintain production data such as mechanical gauge and digital readings, quantities, types, and dimensions of materials produced.
- Assist inspection packers with unpacking material, inspecting product and troubleshooting when necessary.
- Notify supervisors when produced materials fail to meet standards.
- Keep work area clean, organized and free of debris to maintain a safe immediate work area and facility.
- Follow all HACCP and good manufacturing practices (GMP’s)
- Follows environmental and safety regulations and acts in compliance with US laws.
- Perform other related duties that contribute to the success of the operation as assigned by supervisor.

Experience with use of BV-E class 102” x 149” x 101” 6,000 pound with 102”x 136” x 96” overhead assist and BV- C Class 72” x 51” x 72” 2,000 pound production vacuum forming equipment and associated individual machine vacuum systems. Experience with use of PLC heat multi zone control.

Acrylic plastic under coater needed

Accessible Bath Technologies, LLC is looking for an experienced Acrylic plastic under coater to join our team. Experienced in the preparation, painting, documentation and management of material flow used in the finishing process – sanding, use of a hand router, paint sprayer applicator use and maintenance, paint and solvent mixing. Fiberglass chop application experience helpful but not necessary; utilizing fiberglass undercoating/chop application techniques in a large air scrub application and curing booth. Responsible for the work shift production set up. Candidate must be focused on producing quality finishes, needs to be well organized with attention to detail and must be able to work independently. Be capable of operating paint spray equipment, applying paint at desired film thickness and texture so that the product is of acceptable quality. The work is specific, repetitive and will involve a number of parts to be painted/undercoated.
Qualified candidate must have the following skills:
- Must have previous knowledge (1-3 yrs.) of paint application techniques and equipment.
- Use of full body protective suit and protective eye and head gear.
- Use of air respirator head gear
- Adjust machine components to regulate speed, pressure and temperatures and amounts dimensions and flow of materials or ingredients.
- Perform quality checks according to established procedures and ensure all standards are being met. Examine measure and weigh materials or product to verify conformance to standards using measuring devices such as templates, micrometers or scales.
- Ability to navigate and process basic inventory transactions manually and using computer system, as required.
- Detail oriented, strong organizational skills, and self-motivated working under minimal supervision.
- Ability to follow directions and work in a team environment and work to set deadlines.
- Knowledge of drying oven operation required. Must be very dependable, pay attention to detail and a team player.
- Must speak English (Spanish a Plus)
- Must have experience in the handling of vacuum formed acrylic shells.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to work from written and verbal instructions to properly apply sprayed paint to required part surfaces.
- Clean and prepare surfaces as needed to insure adhesion and quality finish on all pieces.
- Able to mask and protect parts with heat and liquid resistant tape.
- Exercise care to prevent paint from being applied to undesired surfaces.
- Set and adjust paint spray nozzle and direct paint spray onto desired surfaces.
- Apply sprayed paint to parts using our ABT designed manual guns.
- Visually inspects painted products to meet our quality control specifications.
- Determine and manage best practice hanging methods to maximize paint quality and load density.
- Perform all work in adherence with set quality standards.
- Perform post quality inspection processes for painted and undercoated parts.
- Clean and maintain spray booth, production line and preparation area.
- Change paint booth filters as required.
- Practice safe work habits, following safety guidelines with respect to operation and personal safety gear, and support safety initiatives.
- Self-starter and willing to help with various tasks related to transport of Acrylic shells into and out of paint/undercoating booth.

- Ensure work area environmental air quality safety when using solvents, glues, primers.
- Adhere to all human protection standards; use of breathing masks, rubber gloves, safety eye wear.
- Prep and assemble manually inserted and screw on components per visual aids, upon verification of specs from visual aids.
- Ensures assemblies and components are properly handled and marked.
- Accurately maintains daily logs; monitor and restock parts bins as required.

Performs basic, standardized and repetitive electronic assembly tasks and labeling of components, assemblies or subassemblies and wires.

- Preps and assembles manually connected mechanical components per visual aids, upon verification of specs from visual aids.
- Wire connections to electric whirlpool type pump.
- Ensures assemblies and components are properly handled and marked.
- Perform basic, standardized and repetitive electronic assembly tasks and labeling of components, assemblies or subassemblies and wires.
- Ability to use a mouse pad.

Wire Harness Assembly specific requirements include:
- Route and tie wires to form wire harness used in electrical and electronic equipment or systems: Reads instructions, such as work orders, diagrams, and wire lists to determine materials needed and sequence of assembly.
- Selects wires of specified color, marking, or length, and loops wires between guide pegs on harness board, following color-coded lines or sequential numbers on board or diagram.
- Wraps and ties wires together at designated points to form harness, manually or using tie-wrap gun.
- May apply sealing liquid to secure knots in ties, using brush.
- Attach ends of wires to components, plugs, or terminal strip, using soldering iron or crimping device.
- Insert cable in plastic tubing or inject plastic sealant around terminals to protect cable from dust and moisture.
- Test wiring continuity, using continuity tester.
- Mark identifying data on completed harness.
The ideal candidate must be able to read schematics, blueprints, solder wires to connector terminals, and be skilled with various crimping tools. Experience dressing out harnesses is helpful.

The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of distribution in warehouse and incoming goods to manufacturing/production area of facility. Manager will be responsible for packaging and shipping outgoing goods. Experience in use of shipping company computer programs and digital and written logistics standards associated with shipping and receiving. The ideal candidate will have a strong operation background with excellent time-management, organizational, and communication skills in order to effectively interface with other departments throughout the company. This candidate needs to be a high energy individual with a strong management presence and the ability to develop and train a strong team.
The ideal candidate for the Warehouse Manager role at ABT must have the following experiences:
- At least three years of warehouse management experience
- Experience with shipping industry top carriers a plus
- Must be knowledgeable about forklifts, their certification and safety, their charging process.
- Experience working with local government or agents on shipping facility management
- Experience using UPS, USPS, Conway freight computer shipping software or other ERP systems preferred.
- Packaging and shipping material ordering and inventory management.
- Use banding materials and banding mechanical or automated application devices.
- Pallet handling.
- Use of shipping label software.
- Handling and carting of fragile and durable products.
